He has won special prizes at the “Humourfest International Saloon of Cartoons in Foligno, Italy and at the first International Saloon of Caricature in Damascus, Syria. His works are among the awarded in the IV International Web-cartoon Contest in Shanhai and in the IV China LM International Cartoon Competition in Nanjing, China. Works of his are placed in the museums of caricature in Tokyo /Japan/, Istanbul /Turkey/, Marosticca /Italy/, Foligno /Italy/, Damascus /Syria/, Beringen /Belgium/, Olen /Belgium/ and in the collection of “Jost Dogen” in Switzerland. The “Inter-Art” Museum of Modern Art in Awid, Romania is also in possession of some of GISSEN’s works. The House of Humor and Satire in Gabrovo, Bulgaria is also in possession of a collection of about 25 of GISSEN’s works.
